Electronic Voice Phenomenon
A short, but interesting one today.
EVPs, also known as Electronic Voice Phenomenon, are disembodied voices caught when recording something.
They are random and good ones are rare.
Ghost hunters will often try to catch EVPs on their recording devices. Your mileage may vary on how successful you think they are.
Every so often, I’ll come across one of interest.
I’ve got three that I wanted to share.
Two short and one a bit longer.
EVP 1
The first was from a podcast that I did back in 2016 with two friends. (One of them being Ecclasia.) While I was editing it, I came across something that I could not identify.
One sounded like a child and the second like a whisper.
If I had to make an educated guess, I’d say that the source was from Ecclasia’s house.
It certainly wasn’t the first time I heard things like that when talking to her.
Once, she was alone in a house she had moved out of and we were doing some energy clearing when we heard footsteps coming from the room above. (And yes, we checked and there was no one there.)
I do not know where the recording is for that one, but I mention it as a potential source.
You can listen to the sound bites here.
EVP 2
The second was from a client who sent me a video of her door, which kept opening.
In the background, I noticed there was a whispering sound. I queried her and she had not been aware of it. She could not identify the source.
What made this interesting for me was that I had recently heard the same type of sound from a YouTube channel called “Exploring Abandoned Mines and Unusual Places”.
You can listen and compare them with the links below.

I’d love to know what people think.
