Implementing
So far, we have looked at how to write down your current Belief System, tips and traps and what we should be aware of. In this final entry, we will create a new one and implementing it. First part can be found here.
But first, let me start off with a story about how belief can be powerful.
School
I remember, back in 1976, I was in year 7 (which was called Form 1 back then), and I wasn’t doing my English homework. In fact, I was struggling to get things done in general.
I was one of those born in the early part of the year, and the policy was that those would start school sooner than later.
I ended up being a school year too early for my development level. That extra year really makes a big difference.
There was a Parent – Teacher conference, that I failed to tell my parents about because I was petrified of how my father would react.
My English teacher, who I felt had it in for me, reported me to the headmaster for not doing my homework, and I found myself in a meeting with him.
He asked why my parents were not at the Parent – Teachers night, and I lied and said they were sick.
He said he would write a letter to them.
